Welcome to Wesley UMC! We are glad you have come to our website to find out more about our community of faith. Feel free to browse the website to learn more about the ministries of the church, opportunities for you and your family, and whether Wesley may be a place where you might want to come to grow in your faith.
If you are planning a visit on a Sunday morning, please note there are visitor spots for you to park in and the sanctuary is located on the far end of the building (where the cross on the front is!). If you would like to use the childcare room, it is located in the middle of the building and you can ask any of our ushers or greeters and they would be happy to help you locate the room. As you enter worship, be mindful that we have large print bulletins and hymnals, as well as hearing devices for the hearing impaired.
If you are visiting our 8:30 service, this is a more informal service. There is a praise team that leads the music and we use a screen rather than hymnals for our music and liturgy. There is a children’s message for any children that may be in the congregation. After the service, we invite you to walk down the hallway to the fellowship hall where there is food and drink and this is a great time to get to know some of the members of the congregation.
If you are visiting our 11:00 service, this is our more traditional service. We sing from the hymnal and there is a choir who leads our music. There is a children’s message for any children that may be in the congregation. After the service, we invite you to walk down the hallway to the fellowship hall where there is food and drink and this is a great time to get to know some of the members of the congregation.
If you have any questions about the church, ask anyone!! The congregation is very welcoming and passionate about ministry. Be sure to introduce yourself to our pastor, Rev. Gretchen Nelson. She’s always eager to meet new people and learn more about you. If you are new to the area and are church shopping, don’t hesitate to call the church office Monday through Thursday from 9-12 and we can help you get directions. Also, if you visit and Wesley is not quite what you are looking for, call Rev.Gretchen Nelson and she would be happy to help guide you to other churches in the area that might meet your needs. We want you to settle into a place that will help you grow in your faith.
We sincerely hope that Wesley UMC is the right place for you and your family! Come visit us on Sunday morning or come to any of our events or ministries that you read about on the website. We would be blessed by your presence!!
