Children & Youth

During Worship

We welcome children of all ages in the sanctuary during worship. A lay member leads a brief, interactive Children’s Message in the first third of the service, and invites both “children and those who are young at heart” to come forward to participate. We are happy to provide childcare for infants through preschool age children in our nursery room down the hall; please ask a greeter and we will be glad to assist you.

If your school-age (or older) child would like a chance to serve as a reader, greeter, or acolyte in worship, please let the pastor know!

Youth Group / Confirmation

We are in the process of rebuilding our youth ministries with middle school and high school-age young people. We offer Confirmation with a mentor-based curriculum, and try to plan quarterly social gatherings or service opportunities.

Intergenerational Activities

One of the blessings of a smaller church is the opportunity to build intergenerational relationships. From Game Nights to litter pick-up with our Adopt-a-Sport ministry, and art projects to service opportunities with local hunger-fighting organizations, we are working to increase the ways that younger and older folks can get to know each other and learn from each other.
