We are so glad you are interested in our community of faith. We would love to welcome you in person! Feel free to browse the website to learn more about the ministries of the church, opportunities to connect with others, and whether Wesley may be a place where you could come to connect with God, build relationships, and grow spiritually.
If you are planning a visit on a Sunday morning, please note that the sanctuary is located on the end of the building closest to the Armistead Ave entrance (where the cross and flame on the front is). If you would like to use the childcare room, it is located in the middle of the building, and you can ask any of our greeters and they would be happy to help you locate the room. As you enter worship, let a greeter know if you need any accommodations, such as large print bulletins and hymnals, or hearing devices for the hearing impaired.
Our 10:00 AM service is a combination of traditional and praise music. We sing from the hymnal and there is a choir, piano, and organ to lead our music. Announcements, the order of service, and song lyrics can all be found on the screens up front. There is a children’s message for any children that may be in the congregation (as well as those who are young at heart!).
After worship, we invite you to walk down the hallway to the fellowship hall where there is food and drink – this is a great time to get to know some of the members of the congregation.
If you have any questions about the church, ask anyone! The congregation is very welcoming and passionate about ministry. Be sure to introduce yourself to our pastor, Rev. Kerry Greenhill. She’s always eager to meet new people and learn more about you.
Whether you are new to the area or just looking for a new church home, don’t hesitate to call the church office at 757-838-3044. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12pm, and we will be glad to answer any questions you might have. Also, if you visit and Wesley is not quite what you are looking for, call Pastor Kerry and she would be happy to help guide you to other churches in the area that might meet your needs. We want you to settle into a place that will help you grow in your faith.
